LAYERS, NOT REPLACEMENTS.

A CONTINUING EVOLUTION

Everything learned.
Nothing left behind.

Built through curiosity.

At the present, AI connects the accumulated layers and the code begins writing itself. Illustrative code.

A new layer. The same curiosity.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

I've always created
with technology.
Now, technology
creates with me.

A curiosity that hasn't changed.

Experience
that evolves.

More than two decades turning complex processes and information into systems people can use to decide and act.

01 / REAL-TIME DATA

Data was there
from the beginning.

At Halliburton / Real Time Operations, I worked on systems carrying drilling-well information into Halliburton’s global infrastructure: WITS transmission, data reception and processing, logs, and monitoring.

The purpose was practical: help people at the well, in Mexico and in Houston see operational information and make decisions from it.

  2. MEXICO
  3. HOUSTON
Operational information shared between the field, Mexico and Houston.

02 / PUBLIC SYSTEMS

Complex processes.
Thousands of people.
One system.

I led the design and delivery of technology for public processes: structured emergency-call handling, educational staffing across more than 30,000 teachers, and the digitization of civil records.

The work started before the software: understanding fragmented processes, defining requirements and coordinating implementation so information could become a decision—and a next step.

  1. INPUT
  2. PROCESS
  3. DECISION
  4. ACTION
Information enters a process, informs a decision and leads to action.

03 / DIGITAL BUSINESS

Before platforms
made it easy.

I helped build and lead early e-commerce solutions for local businesses, when selling online meant putting together pieces that today’s platforms often provide out of the box.

The store was only the beginning. Orders, payments and delivery had to work together as a business process.

  2. ORDER
  3. PAYMENT
  4. DELIVERY
A store connects orders, payments and delivery.

04 / TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

From building systems
to leading them.

My role evolved from building parts of a system to understanding the whole problem: researching processes, designing solutions, defining requirements and coordinating the people who would build them.

As a Technical Lead, I made technical decisions, supervised development and stayed involved where needed to take a solution into implementation.

  1. UNDERSTAND
  2. DESIGN
  3. BUILD
  4. LEAD
Understand the problem, design the solution, build it and lead its implementation.

The tools changed.
The way I think didn’t.

Systems → information → decisions → action.

ABOUT

STILL HUMAN.

After all these years,
technology still
makes me curious.

I'm still learning.
Still building.
